eLodgement – Supreme and District Courts

From 30 June 2025, solicitors with a Queensland practising certificate will be able to lodge civil claims and supporting documents in the Brisbane Supreme Court through the Queensland Courts and Tribunals Online Services Portal.

Self-represented litigants can refer to procedural fact sheets for civil proceedings and lodge their claim at the registry or via post.

Rules about electronic filing (eLodgement) are contained in the  Uniform Civil Procedure Rules 1999 (UCPR).

New rules were introduced in 2018 that allow the Principal Registrar of the Supreme and District Courts to decide which documents are approved for eLodgement and conditions that apply (if any).
