Court Services Queensland Domestic and Family Violence and Sexual Violence Safety Framework – Delivering Safer Courts 2024-2034
The Court Services Queensland Domestic and Family Violence and Sexual Violence Safety Framework – Delivering Safer Courts 2024-2034 (the Safety Framework) is Court Services Queensland’s 10-year commitment to improve court safety to ensure courts are delivering inclusive, safe, supportive, and accessible services for people impacted by domestic and family violence (DFV) and sexual violence (SV).
The Safety Framework builds on the Queensland Government’s DFV and SV reform agenda and captures the reform Courts Services Queensland is already undertaking, and are planning for the future, to ensure courts are physically, psychologically and culturally safe for those who have experienced DFV or SV.
The Safety Framework implements the Queensland Government’s response to Recommendation 49 of the Women’s Safety and Justice Taskforce Report Hear Her Voice Report 1 and Recommendation 52 of Report 2. It will be revisited over the next 10 years to ensure it continues to support the Queensland Government’s commitments to better safety for court users.
