Courts statistical information

Supreme, District and Magistrates Courts

Queensland Courts provides a wide range of statistical information about the operation of the courts.

Information about the courts' workloads is available in the Supreme Court, District Court, Magistrates Court and Childrens Court of Queensland annual reports, as well as the Australian Bureau of Statistics Criminal Courts, Australia publication and the Australian Government - Productivity Commission - Report on Government Services. Caution should be used when comparing information from these reports as they contain different counting rules.

Requesting additional data

If you require data that is not already available in reports produced by the Courts or Australian Bureau of Statistics you can request it by completing the data request form (PDF File, 461.9 KB).

A courts staff member will then contact you to confirm the details, advise you of the information available and provide you with an estimate of how long the request will take to complete.

Please note there are legislative restrictions that affect the information that can be provided. These include requests for data containing personal information, which will be referred to the Right to Information and Privacy Unit for assessment.
