Justice Legislation (Fees) Amendment Regulation

The regulation commenced on 1 July 2017.
Amendments to Criminal Practice Rules fees
Rule 56A of the Criminal Practice Rules 1999 allows non-parties to apply a trial judge (including a magistrate) during or after the trial in a criminal proceeding to copy an exhibit tendered in the matter.
The Criminal Practice (Fees) Regulation 2010 has been amended to clarify which fees apply for these applications.
A filing fee applies for the Rule 56A application to inspect an exhibit, as do copy fees.
There is also a fee for opening a registry out of hours for the purposes of a Rule 56A application or copying the exhibit.
