Information about attending court in other languages

Attending court can be a stressful and complex experience, especially for people who are not familiar with the system. Many resources about the court system are currently only available in English. The QR Code program was designed to address this and help meet the needs of diverse communities and their access to the Queensland justice system.

The QR Code program is run by the Social Policy Group and Queensland Courts. The program is being rolled out across Magistrates Courts in Queensland.

Posters with QR codes are displayed in courthouse public areas. When scanned, the QR codes take you to a website with “information about attending Magistrates Courts available in 20 languages.

The languages are the most requested languages for interpretation in Queensland Courts. Languages include:
