There are many government and community support services in Queensland to help you if you’re in a domestic violence relationship. Most provide free services.

Support and resources for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples

  • Yarn up:  A safe space for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people young people to connect with community, hear from others, and access wellbeing resources and support.
  • Australian Indigenous HealthInfoNet: A hub of health resources supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in Queensland.
  • First Nations Advocates Against Family Violence (FNAANFV): FNAANFV advocates for and supports First Nations Australians impacted by family violence, promoting cultural safety and empowerment.

Safe accommodation

DVConnect Womensline provides 24/7 referral to crisis accommodation for women and children affected by domestic violence in Queensland. (It also provides confidential advice and counselling).
