Supreme Court Library of Queensland

The Supreme Court Library Queensland (SCLQ) is an independent organisation that offers  legal information services to members of the judiciary, legal profession and community across the state from libraries in Brisbane, Cairns, Rockhampton and Townsville.

What SCLQ does

The SCLQ :

• offers legal information at libraries in Brisbane, Cairns, Rockhampton, and Townsville;
• provides mostly free resources to help people find legal information;
• holds a large collection of legal materials online and in print;
• publishes decisions from Queensland courts and tribunals.

Sharing Queensland's legal history

SCLQ preserves and shares Queensland’s legal history by:

• keeping a collection of legal heritage materials;
• running the Sir Harry Gibbs Legal Heritage Centre, Queensland’s only legal history museum;
• hosting exhibitions and displays;
• delivering lecture series;
• educating students and the community about Queensland’s legal system.
