  • Our fees and charges typically increase on 1 July each year. On 1 July 2025, our fees and charges were increased by 3.4 per cent in line with the Government’s indexation policy.
  • All cheques should be made payable to the Department of Justice.
  • The Department of Justice does not accept cheques from:
    • Macquarie Bank
    • Suncorp Bank
    • RACQ Bank.

    • advertising;
    • feeding livestock or removing livestock to a place of safekeeping

The fees payable to enforcement officers under the Uniform Civil Procedure (Fees) Regulation 2019 have changed. The charges are no longer calculated by fee units. The same fees apply for enforcement officers performing services and enforcement functions, regardless of jurisdiction.
