Updated media guides and new tip sheet on domestic, family and sexual violence now available

Updated editions of the Domestic and family violence media guide and Sexual violence media guide have been published to support journalists to report on domestic, family and sexual violence in Queensland.

The media guides provide journalists and editors with advice on trauma-informed approaches to reporting, relevant statistics, practical reporting tips and legal considerations, including covering matters before the courts.

The content has been revised to include new laws and processes impacting media reporting which commence on 26 May 2025. A new tip sheet is also available.
