Online adjournment of certain criminal matters

Due to scheduled maintenance, our website may experience outages between 8pm, 19 February and 3am, 20 February 2020. We recommend that you do not submit any forms during this time.

We apologise for any inconvenience.

A new online form will be introduced on 8 December 2014, for committal and summary callover matters in the Brisbane Magistrates Court.

The online interactive form will allow prosecutors (from the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions and the Queensland Police Service Police Prosecutions Corps) and defence legal representatives to request an adjournment online, and upload supporting documentation, if required.

The online adjournment request form will be available on the ‘Your Rights, Crime and the Law’ franchise website.

Requesting parties will be required to submit their request online by no later than 5:00pm 3 business days before the scheduled callover date, and after first obtaining the other party’s consent.

For more information, please refer to Magistrates Courts Practice Direction No. 5 of 2014 – Electronic adjournments for committal and summary callovers.
