SUPREME COURT CRIMINAL SITTINGS
Legal practitioners who are unable to appear in person for criminal reviews must first seek the Court’s leave to appear by video, by contacting the Criminal List Manager or the Criminal List Judge’s associate before the scheduled review. Leave will not be granted to appear by telephone where video is available.
APPLICATIONS TO COURT
Parties seeking to appear by audio-visual link are first to contact the judge’s associate to request the Court’s leave to do so. If you are given leave to appear by audio-visual link, you will be provided with instructions about how to do this.

By Practice Direction 8 of 2014, the place where a party is appearing in a hearing remotely is part of the “courtroom”. As such, each of the prohibitions set out in that Practice Direction will apply, including the prohibition against the recording or publishing of any part of the proceeding.
