Transcripts and recordings

State Reporting Bureau

The proceedings in Queensland courts and tribunals are generally recorded and produced in a written transcript or electronically on cassette tape or CD.

These proceedings are recorded by the State Reporting Bureau (SRB) in compliance with the Recording of Evidence Act 1962.

The SRB provides a recording and transcription service for proceedings in the Supreme and District Courts, the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission (QIRC) and various other tribunals throughout Queensland.

These transcripts and recordings can be purchased from the SRB.

The SRB also provides a transcription-only service for proceedings heard in Magistrates Courts.

These transcripts and recordings can be purchased directly from the Magistrates Court registry.
