WiFi access in the new courthouse

Connecting to WiFi in the new Supreme and District Courts

WiFi is available via the Public Safety Network Guest service (PSNG) on all court floors of the new Brisbane Supreme and District Courthouse. This service is secured for the use of approved legal practitioners and self-represented litigants and will provide a higher quality of service than in the old Law Courts Complex.

Three steps are required to use the new WiFi service:

  1. Individuals and organisations can pre-register with the courts for WiFi access. To request access, you will first need to complete the Wifi Registration form and forward it to etrials@courts.qld.gov.au. For law firms (or chambers), just ONE form for the entire firm will suffice. Please allow two working days after submitting your form to configure your access. We will provide you with a username and a password by email.
  2. Once you have your username and password, you can connect to Courts WiFi. Select the PSNG wireless network on your mobile device. The first time you connect you will be prompted to enter both your username and password.
  3. You will need to enter your username and password again to access the internet for the first time. Once you have done this, your username and password will be cached for the remainder of the session. Internet sessions last 12 hours, so if you return to court the following day, you will again be prompted for your password when accessing the internet.

If you change your mobile device (bring a different laptop, smart phone or tablet to court), you will need to re-enter your user name and password for each device.
