Access: Building access for people with disabilities: Access to the Brisbane Magistrates Courts building is via the main entrance on the corner of George and Turbot Streets. There is a gentle incline from the street level to the entrance. Access to floors within the building is via lifts.
Guide dogs and assistance dogs are allowed into courtrooms in Queensland.
If you have a hearing impairment please contact the court house where you will be attending so appropriate arrangements can be made for your convenience.

Northern Coroner
The Northern Coroner’s Office was established in Cairns in March 2008.
The Northern Coroner investigates all reportable deaths previously reported to local Magistrates at Bowen, Prosperpine, Cairns, Innisfail, Atherton, Mareeba, Mossman, Cloncurry, Mt Isa and Townsville.
All enquiries (including Form 1A enquiries) about reportable deaths occurring in the Northern and Far Northern regions (Prosperpine north to the PNG border and west to the Mt Isa district) should be directed to the Northern Coroner’s Office at Cairns.

The Southern Coroner’s Office was established at Southport in August 2008.
The Southern Coroner investigates reportable deaths previously reported to local Magistrates at Beenleigh and Southport.
All enquiries (including Form 1A enquiries) about reportable deaths occurring in the Southern region should be directed to the Southern Coroner’s Office at Southport.
