Claim and statement of claim

A claim and statement of claim can be used to start proceedings for amounts from $50,000 to $250,000 in the District Court, and an unlimited amount in the Supreme Court.  As the plaintiff you can initiate court action by filing a claim and statement of claim at the court registry.

The claim can be for an agreed or fixed amount of money, or it can be for unspecified amounts including:
