Applications for positions in 2009

Application form

Applications are invited from people interested in securing a position as an associate to a Supreme Court or District Court judge in 2009.

You are invited to submit your curriculum vitae and supporting documentation using the online form and emailing it as instructed. It is important to complete all fields. Receipt will be acknowledged.

Applications for the position of associate for 2009 close on Friday, 15 February 2008.  Late applications may, but will not necessarily, be considered.

All applications submitted by the due date will be made available to the judges on Monday, 3 March 2008.

Applications of no more than seven pages in length should include:

In addition you may apply individually to any judge who you wish to consider your application.

The appointment of an associate is made by Governor-in-Council on the recommendation of the judge for whom the associate will be working.

Applicants may be contacted to arrange an interview.

Applicants who gain an interview will be advised of the outcome and the successful applicant's application will be removed from the database. All other applications will remain live until the end of the period applied for when they will be removed from the database.

Applications can be withdrawn by sending an email to associates.applications@courts.qld.gov.au, and requesting deletion from the database.
