Transcripts and recordings - State Reporting Bureau

If you are a party to a criminal proceeding in the District or Supreme Courts, or the Court of Appeal, you or your legal advisers will be provided with one free copy of the transcript.

If you are a victim of crime who intends to apply for compensation, you will be provided with a free copy of the sentencing remarks.

If the magistrate refers your matter to the District or Supreme Court, you can obtain a free transcript from the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.

All fees and charges are exempt from GST.

The SRB can provide an estimate of the fees on request.

Important change

Effective from 10 June 2008, the State Reporting Bureau (SRB) will close all its DX mail boxes. As the Supreme and District Courts in Rockhampton and Townsville have previously shared the DX subscription with SRB, their mail service will also cease after 10 June 2008. For details of alternative postal addresses, please see the list provided.
