Investigation Document - first copy $1.70
per page* - maximum cost (first copy) $50.00
maximum - Additional copy- $0.50
per page - maximum cost (additional copy) $20.00
maximum Copy of transcript of inquest $5.10

* This fee may be waived in the following circumstances:
- you hold a health care card or pensioner concession card issued under the Social Security Act 1991
- you hold a pensioner concession card issued by the Commonwealth Department of Veteran’s Affairs.
- you are the first family member to apply for access to a coronial investigation document. Please refer to the schedule 2 dictionary of Coroners Act 2003 for definition of family member.
Please enclose a copy of the health/pensioner concession card with your application.
If fees are payable you will be advised prior to the release of documentation.
Payment methods
Please contact the local Magistrates Court for their preferred method of payment.
If you are sending a cheque or money order to the Office of the State Coroner please make it payable to ‘The Department of Justice and Attorney-General.’
You can also pay in person by attending the Office of the State Coroner between 8.30am to 4.30pm (Monday to Friday).
