Health Practitioners Tribunal

The Health Practitioners Tribunal (HPT) hears matters relating to the conduct and practice of registered health practitioners (registrants) in Queensland.

These matters may be referred to the tribunal by one of the health practitioner registration boards or an individual registrant.

A board can suspend and or impose conditions on registrants if they demonstrate unsatisfactory professional conduct.

If a board finds that a registrant is not abiding by its decision, it can apply to the tribunal to have its decision enforced.

Registrants can also appeal to the tribunal if they disagree with a board’s decision or would like to have their case reviewed.
